Solar Street Light Solutions

Controller solutions across the full platform range — 30W garden lights to 160W main roads

Challenges

No guaranteed runtime on consecutive cloudy days?

Batteries over-charged and over-discharged, short lifespan, frequent maintenance?

Inflexible dimming, no precise time-segment brightness control?

Unsure how to size batteries and PV panels correctly?

System Components

Solar PV panel (6V single-cell / 18V 4-cell)

MPPT/PWM smart controller (boost/buck + constant-current drive)

LiFePO4 battery (3.2V single-cell / 12.8V 4-cell)

LED street light (3.2V flat / 9–36V boost constant-current)

Recommended Products

Solution Highlights

  • MPPT tracking efficiency ≥99%, charging conversion up to 97%
  • Built-in coulomb counter plus AI algorithm for reliable runtime on cloudy/rainy days
  • Designed for single/4-cell LiFePO4 — no battery protection board needed, lower PACK cost
  • 8-segment dimming with adaptive dawn boost; tuning via Bluetooth, IR or mini-program; OTA upgrade
  • IP65-rated aluminum housing, -40°C to 80°C operation in harsh environments
  • Complete protection: overcharge/over-discharge, reverse-polarity, PV short-circuit, LED open/short-circuit, over-temperature

Selection Guide

  1. Determine LED power: e.g. a 60W light → choose the 60W output tier

  2. Estimate battery capacity: power × runtime × 2 margin ÷ system voltage (e.g. 60W×10h×2÷3.2V ≈ 375Ah)

  3. Choose system voltage: 3.2V single-cell for low/mid power, 12.8V 4-cell recommended for ≥80W

  4. Size the PV panel ≈ daily energy (Wh) ÷ peak sun hours ÷ system efficiency (~0.8). E.g. 600Wh ÷ 4h ÷ 0.8 ≈ 188W (battery capacity already includes the cloudy-day margin — do not multiply it again)

  5. Check charging current: controller rating ≥ PV short-circuit current (see spec table)
